- First Avenue – In every way this is the best music venue in Minneapolis and some say the World. The acoustics of the unusual building are amazing,and it is just the right size. Also the management for the last half century has done more to support live music than can be comprehended. They have over 600 shows a year between First Avenue and the 7th Street Entrance!
- Armory Minneapolis – If you are looking for something to do in Minneapolis, and you have a chance to go to a show here at the Armory, do it. This venue is world class. The size is perfect, sight-lines amazing, and acoustics are great.
- Dakota Jazz Club – This is the best jazz club in the Midwest, and so many greats have played there. The food is not an afterthought at this club. Great food to go along with the incredible music. Right on the Nicollet Mall.
- Skyway Theater – This place is amazing. Since it is an old theater, the sight lines are amazing. There is no bad spot to be. Also the other theaters have been converted to unique spaces and music venues too and they add to the whole experience.
- Fillmore – A few things make this place incredible. First it is brand new so it was thought out and designed as a modern music venue. Also, it is in the North Loop, so it is in the best Minneapolis neighborhood. Also it is attached to the Element Hotel, so you don’t have to go anywhere to find a room. It is also steps from the Twins Stadium. This place rocks.
