Things to Do in Minneapolis: Best Venues
- Armory Minneapolis – Hate to say it but the best venue in Minneapolis is the smallest of the great big venues. The Armory only holds 8400 people, so its big, but it is also intimate. Great seating, great main floor, great sound. Gotta check out this Minneapolis Venue.
- Target Field – Even though the almost exclusively do baseball, this is the best new stadium in America. It is a neighborhood stadium like Wrigley, open air, and with a picturesque view of downtown Minneapolis. The seats are comfortable and egress is easy. It even has a light rail station!
- US Bank Stadium – Much hyped, and it largely delivered. This stadium can open and close huge doors on the side. Cool but under utilized feature. It has creative architecture, great seating and views of the field and has pretty good sound when the biggest concerts come to town. For a football game it seats 68,000, but can seat 73,000 for special events.
- Minneapolis Convention Center – For a convention Center this one is pretty cool. It is not in the middle of nowhere, it is actually in the city and connected to the downtown skyscrapers through the Skyway system. It is also the largest convention center in the Midwest at a 1/2 million sqft. Check out the shows at the convention center. There are so many things to do in Minneapolis!
- Target Center – In case you haven’t hear of it, it is where the Timberwolves play, which is the basketball team in Minnesota. It is a great arena for Disney on Ice and other medium sized shows. Capacity is 20,000.
